During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water systems, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles attacked energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.
